How? The Gait Lab and the Functional Movement Screen
THE Gait Lab. Trust us, this is not your shoe store “gait analysis.” Nor is the Gait Lab just for runners. Through slow motion video recording of you as you run, our advanced software gives an unparalleled, objective, highly detailed view of your body’s quality of movement. We’ll find your asymmetries and compensations, then we will work together to eliminate them.
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a critical series of exercise evaluations that are appropriate for any person and athlete. As part of our gait analysis process, we use this seven exercise graded screen to uncover weakness and asymmetry, and show you where appropriate stability and mobility are not displayed. We will show you how you may be limiting your potential by using compensations in movement patterning that ultimately lead to poor biomechanics, lower efficiency and power, and even injury. Once we throw back the curtain on what is really holding you back, customized plans are developed to fix YOU and help you progress step by step. This is no one-size-fits-all program. We set you on the road to genuine wellness, and track your progress along the way.
